This is a fundraiser to help Puerto Rico recover from Hurricane Maria. I know that any money that I raise is a drop in the bucket, but many drops together make an ocean! I am using a 20 ft long drawing that I made about a vacation that I took in Puerto Rico with my then girlfriend and her daughter. Participants in this fundraiser can choose whatever portion of the drawing that they would like to purchase for $33/ft. I will then trace this portion of the drawing and remake it for them in return for a check made out to one of the organizations helping in the recovery. I will also make a version of their drawing for myself which will be shown at Luis de Jesus gallery in LA in August. My hope is that there will be overlapping portions of the drawing chosen by people for the project and that I will be able to hang these sections stacked up the wall in the gallery.
